[When Aunamee receives the text, he feels his phantom heart tick-tick-ticking in his chest, tendrils of energy sparking down his spine.

He loves the chance to play the hero.]

[Dyster. Of course. Because Daniel is loyal, because he's earned the Fog's favor, because he's worthy.

Aunamee arrives there quickly.

He brings a first aid kit with surgical tools, painkillers, and a hefty number of bandages. He's hardly a doctor, but if you like to take people apart, you need to know how to put them back together again.

Is the door locked? Because if so, Aunamee will break it. He's not going to make Daniel struggle to open it.]

[The door is indeed locked, but Aunamee will find that breaking it does not cause any traps to go off to try to take his head off or something for it--it seems that while Danny had the mind to lock the door behind him when he came home, he didn't have the time or energy to reset any traps that he might have built for stalling intruders.

As such, he'll be able to reach Danny with ease, where he has taken to sitting with his back against the wall on the floor. His device is open nearby where he dragged it over to send out the SOS, as well as his own supplies of blood haphazardly tossed close to his current spot of rest. He's in the middle of... very awkwardly attempting to get thread through needle for stitches using one hand and his teeth to pull the thread through the eye of the needle, because his other arm... well.

Aunamee will see that it's barely hanging on by bone and muscle, or what's left of it that hasn't caused his arm to be detached entirely from the large bite marks that can be seen there. It is healing thanks to the Fog, but very slowly and it looks like Danny can't move with that arm to help him try to stitch the wound closed to make the healing process go by a little faster. Probably doesn't help that he looks like he's on the verge of passing out before he'll even finish, anyway.

He stops what he's doing and very nearly drops the thread and needle however when he looks up and sees Aunamee.]

Oh... hey. Do you mind...?

[He does a slight gesture with his head nodding toward his mangled arm. He... isn't going to pretend that he definitely could use some help with this right now.]

[He doesn't mind. Not at all.

There's something so lovely about this tableau, about Daniel mending his own mangled arm with a needle and thread. He's both vulnerable and capable; both pristine and sloppy. Aunamee could kiss him then and there.

But it's not the time. He needs to save him first.

He moves quickly, crouching down on the floor so that he's at Daniel's level. He brings up a hand, cold and dead, and rests it against his cheek. His other hand recovers the needle and thread.]

Don't strain yourself.

[The concern in his voice mixes with reverence.]

I'm here now.

[Aunamee, that's really creepy and gay. But, honestly Danny probably wouldn't even be that opposed to getting kissed even now so that goes to show how bad his taste is.

Anyway, he doesn't stop Aunamee from taking the needle and thread from him, or touching his face here. He offers a smile momentarily, though it's weaker than usual and is quick to fade because it takes too much effort right now to keep it up.]

Thank you... I'm really glad you came...

[But then he coughs, gives a quiet "sorry" under his breath because he can still feel where blood has been leaking from the corner of his mouth, even though he's pretty sure that thankfully he hasn't been coughing up too much blood here...]
